How To Get Rid Of Love Handles As Soon As They Came In Life
One might have tried everything one can to get rid of love handles.
Jogging, running, doing sit-ups, even started eating healthier food.
But one still has those darn love handles despite being careful about what one eats.
They are not alone.
There are millions of people who are trying to lose the dreaded love handles.
How did one get love handles?
When we were little, we used to hear our friends' parents call them "muffin tops. " They were so embarrassed; they hated to see us have the same problem.
We get it. "Muffin top" is a much better term than "love handles. " But it's still riddled with assumptions. First, we assume that love handles are a problem. Most people would say that if one only had love handles, one were overweight. But we don't say that about people without love handles. We don't notice them. Second, we assume that love handles are caused by eating too many calories. If so, they would be worse if one were eating less food. But they aren't. Third, we assume that love handles are something one intends to get rid of. But most people are not trying to get rid of love handles. They aren't trying to lose fat because fat is generally good. They are trying to lose fat because they want to look more like other people.
People thought that if one ate too much, the part of the muffin in the middle would push out the end, and one would have a muffin top. The medical explanation for love handles is that, as we age, our fat cells get less and less sensitive to insulin. As a result, more sugar goes into the fat cells, and we get fatter faster. Love handles are a sign that we are burning too much sugar, so we should cut back on the sugar. But by replacing one myth with another, we have only shifted the problem. The medical solution--the diet--doesn't work because it does not address the real problem.
Identify the specific areas one want to target
To make love handles, identify their problem areas and concentrate on exercise. Exercise will help one lose weight and, in the process, will help one develop more muscle and more endurance. There are types of exercises that strengthen the muscles of the abdomen. Strength training, aerobic exercise, and stretching.
Strength training involves using the muscles to do work. Machine exercises like biceps curls and leg extensions build strength and endurance. Aerobic exercise involves using the muscles vigorously enough to cause the heart to pump hard. Running, brisk walking, and swimming are examples of aerobic exercise.
Stretching involves using the muscles to lengthen or relax. Static stretching, like holding their leg straight out in front of one, and ballistic stretching, like jumping up and down, are two examples of stretching. The kind of workout one does depend on their age, physical condition, and goal. If their goal is to lose fat, one should do strength training and stretching. If their goal is to build endurance, one should do aerobic exercise and stretch. If their goal is to build strength and muscle, one should do strength training and aerobic exercise.
To lose fat, one needs to burn more calories than one consume. The more calories one burn, the more weight one will lose. To lose fat, one needs to do a combination of strength training and aerobic exercise. To build muscle, one needs to lift weights. Doing aerobic exercise will help build endurance, which will help one lift more weight; one should also do strength training.
To lose fat, one should do aerobic exercise. To lose fat, one should do strength training and aerobic exercise. To build muscle, one should do strength training. To lose fat, one should do strength training and aerobic exercise.
